| Peru's culinary scene
Peru's and Lima's culinary scene at the moment is extremely exciting. Lima, leading the way with more chef's schools than any other city in world, is providing a young generation of chefs and culinary experts that are suprising local and foreign connoiseurs alike. We feature five restaurants: three for high cuisine: Astrid & Gaston in a formal yet warm setting, set in a lovely Miraflores mansion, Rafael and Malabar; And two for more casual dining: Cebicheria La Mar and the deli T'anta in San Isidro.

Aracari can organise a full-day or a multi-day cuisine inmersion in Lima , with a selected host who will interpret the experience and make sense of this universe of fragrances, colours and flavours. What we organise can be as specific and intense as starting at the fish market at 5 am to later visit the and fruit and vegetable market and select ingredients to then have one or more cookery lesson plus tastings. Or it can be as light as a day of sightseing combined with sampling the best of Peruvian cuisine in a day. This activity can be booked as part of an itinerary.
