This trek is not for everyone as
it is long and a great portion of it at quite high altitude. Ausangate
is the holiest mountain in the Cuzco area, located to the Southeast
of the city. High altitude communities, wildlife, glacial lagoons,
natural springs and thermal baths are among the attractions of this
trek. The circuit can be extended to cover more terrain and high
altitude lakes, as well as allowing time to climb.
