This is the most popular alternative to the traditional Inca Trail, and covers similar terrain, from high altitude Savannah or “Puna” to cloudforest, the humid high altitude vegetation that surrounds the site of Machu Picchu. Highly recommended. Magnificent views of Machu Picchu on the last night. It is also possible to walk all the way to Machu Picchu when doing this trek.
A total of approximately 6 hours trek each day.
