Hacienda Marcabamba

Hacienda Marcabamba is located on Km 77 of the Cuzco-Ollantaytambo Road, in the heart of the Urubamba River Valley (commonly known as "Sacred" Valley) at an altitude of 2775m; very close to the banks of the river. The Hacienda has a total of 18 hectares of land, comprising a Eucalyptus forest, fields of corn, an orchard and numerous fruit trees that produce apples, pears, peaches, "blanquillos", "capulies", "saucos", kiwis and custard apples.

The hacienda was built in 1954 on a raised terrace affording it spectacular views of the river and valley. It was refurbished in 1999 and designed to receive guests. It has 8 simple rooms with spectacular views and ensuite facilities with hot water. There is a drawing room with a fireplace and meal services. Lovely outside area to have breakfast or lunch or just to relax.

This is a wonderful place to get off the beaten path and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful Valley.
