Carefully set in high tropical cloud forest, warmly and thoughtfully furnished, the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Hotel is a comfortable base for a visit to Machu Picchu. Located in the village of Aguas Calientes, 30 minutes by bus from the ruins. Built with adobe bricks, eucalyptus and stone. Bar, restaurant, terrace and lovely gardens with native plant species. Hot water supply during peak season can be a problem. No televisions in rooms, except in the Villa. Heaters available on request. Access is slightly difficult with a walk along the railroad track from the bus stop to the ruins, and a long flight of stairs to access the main reception area.
