Manu Wildlife Center
Jungle Lodge After arriving by plane at Puerto Maldonado from Cusco or Lima, this lodge is reached after around 8 hours of travel, an indication of its remoteness and isolation. The journey begins with a 2 and a half hour car journey to Inambari followed by a 15 minute boat ride to Puerto Carlos. A further 45 minute transfer to Boca Colorado leads to another four and a half hour boat ride down the Madre de Dios River to the Manu Wildlife center. This lodge is located in the Buffer Zone in Manu National Park.
The lodge is available from April to October. Fixed departures are on Mondays for 4 day, 3 night programs and Thursdays for 5 day, 4 night programs.
