This Spring heralds new beginnings for a number of new initiatives across South America. While Ecuador and Patagonia are receiving fresh adulation and appreciation from travel writers and travellers alike, the Huarango tree, indigenous to the southern coast of Peru is experiencing a fresh attempt by our friend Oliver and his team to safeguard its future – and the Orient Express Hotel Group is branching out, albeit in an eco-friendly way, in the Colca Valley.
