Drive to the enigmatic Inca site of Moray, (17 Km from Chinchero) thought to have been a centre for agricultural experimentation. Your vehicle will leave you here and you will start your walk through a high savannah on flat terrain until you reach the small colonial village of Maras. Picnic lunch. After lunch, you will start your descent into a gorge where terraces, this time holding salt deposits, are visible. These salt terraces have been uninterruptedly in use since Pre Inca times. From Maras, you will walk down to the river (45 minutes) along narrow rural paths. You will reach the river and cross the bridge to meet your vehicle.

Total walk 6 hours on flat and gently downhill terrain.
