Tipon is a little known Inca ruin complex some 40 minutes southeast of Cuzco. It consists of a vast walled enclosure with some of the most complex Inca drains, water works and baths, some of which are still functioning. The location is superb with stupendous views of the mountains and Valley. Uphill from the enclosure is a magnificent Inca aqueduct. To visit the aqueduct entails a 2-3 hour hike. Perfect for acclimatisation for a longer trek or just for a lovely day out, far away from the crowds!
