On September 23rd 1996 Marisol Mosquera started Aracari Travel with the vision of designing hand-crafted itineraries for those discerning travellers who wanted to explore Peru in comfort and style.
Precisely 15 years later and the company is recognised as one of Peru’s finest tour operators, with awards from Conde Nast Traveler magazine and Travel + Leisure just a few of the plaudits that have been received over the years.
Almost two weeks since our Trip of the Century drew to a close and we have received some of the most wonderful guest comments that we have had in all of our 15 years of operation. Those who travelled with us have left us with glowing reports and we are all very pleased about this.
Heading towards winter and we have received lots of positive feedback over the last month. Our Travel Planners Caitlin and Cristina won particular praise for their work in organising, planning and executing great Peru itineraries. Terri Lindsay said “Cristina did a great job keeping me informed and answering all my questions.” While the Mack family, adding to their comments last month, said “Aracari took care of all the details and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Our trip was planned at the very last minute. Caitlin did an amazing job of pulling everything together and creating an itinerary that was wide ranging and interesting.” Good work!
Moving into autumn – or Peruvian spring – and the sun is starting to shine more and more in the capital city Lima. And rather fittingly, there has been no dulling down in the tone of appraisal that Aracari has received from our guests.
Heading towards the end of the summer “high season”, and there are still a healthy stream of testimonials arriving in the Aracari office.
Being a peak month for luxury tours to Peru, July saw a high volume of appraise for Aracari. In their feedback – as highly valued as ever - guests were pinpointing in particular those special details and expert insights that we pride ourselves in affording those who travel with us.

We are pleased to say that our intelligent and expert travel guides have been applauded in many of the reports and testimonials that we have received throughout June.
