During a visit to Peru, Rajo Laurel blogged about his last day in Lima Rajo’s Blog Enjoy!
The good news is that you don’t just have to take our word for it…
Dear Aracari,
A very big thank you for making our trip to Peru so memorable! We had the most incredible trip to the Galapagos, Tambopata in the Amazon basin, Trujillo/Colayco for pre-Incan ruins and active archaeological sites, and finally the highlands of Arequipa and the Colca canyon.
“Now that we’re back from our Peru visit I wanted to drop you a line to thank you for the exceptional service Aracari Travel provided us over the last week. We expected the highlight of our trip to be our visit to the Sacred Valley ending with our planned hike into Machu Picchu. When we learned of the flooding in the Urubamba River and the likelihood that we’d be unable to get into Machu Picchu your staff did a remarkable job of rearranging our trip in a manner that, in reflection, was more fulfilling than our original planned trip would have been. We had no idea Peru was so rich in culture and ruins, both Incan and pre-Incan beyond Machu Picchu. We are indebted to Aracari for getting us to the ruins at Pisac, Sacsayhuaman, Puca Pucara, Qenco, Tambomachay, Chinchero, and the all too brief visit to Ollantaytambo. When added to the visits to the Cathedral, La Compania, the Convent of La Merced, San Blas, the Inca walls of the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Archaeology Museum, and too many other sites to remember in Cuzco all I can really say is thank you for an extraordinary experience.â€
Capture of a sea lion enjoying a free lunch at Puerto Ayora in the Galapagos.
These tortoises are fed once or twice a week at the criadero de tortugas on the island of Isabela – Galapagos.
We are starting a new section in our blog called Sights & Sounds of Aracari, where we will upload videos from all our trips. Starting with a charming capture of the Marinera, a graceful and romantic couple’s dance that uses handkerchiefs as props. The dance is an elegant reenactment of courtship, showing a blend of coastal Peruvian culture. You can experience this dance at the home of our contact in Trujillo, an exclusive opportunity for our clients.
´´Dear Marisol,
Â
Working with Aracari on a last minute South American vacation was a pleasure. You were extremely responsive, providing a number of options and tailoring possible itineraries to our wants and interests. Because of the time and energy that you dedicated to helping us, we were able to get on a cruise through the Galapagos Islands two weeks before departure! Other companies had simply said “no.” You kept pushing and were able to give us a number of options for the Holiday time frame that we had specified.
Â
When we came across an obstacle in the Galapagos, you came to our rescue, responding from different parts of the world (while on your own vacation) within minutes! The fact that you were there to help us resolve the issues, even during a holiday, is a testament to the dedication of the people working at Aracari.
Â
Thank you again for helping us not only plan, but also enjoy, a fabulous vacation.
Â
All our best,´´
Â
Jessica and Ryan
¨I can honestly say that we had the best arranged holiday we have ever had. We were  particularly impressed at how, on Easter Day, Aracari managed to reformat  our itinerary quite seamlessly when there was a problem with the ground  transport. We were kept informed the whole time about what was going on and  were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that we were in the best of hands.¨
Every year T+L launches its famed list of 500 of the  World’s Best Hotels. Among them you will find Machu Picchu Pueblo, Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge and Miraflores Park Hotel all in the Aracari collection.

Aracari has always made it a point that we are a ¨boutique¨ destination management company. Making it our objetive to always stay small and premier and that’s what has people coming back to us year after year. You can read more about this phenomenon in the latest online issue of Travel & Leisure.
