Peru hotels review – New Suites of the Sol y Luna

sol y luna peru hotel

On a recent trip to the Urubamba Valley, the Aracari team was most pleased to have the opportunity to stay at one of the finest new additions to accommodation in Peru: the New Suites that have been recently been inaugurated by Sol y Luna in June 2010.

Moving into autumn – or Peruvian spring – and the sun is starting to shine more and more in the capital city Lima. And rather fittingly, there has been no dulling down in the tone of appraisal that Aracari has received from our guests.

Luquina Chico Community Based Tourism

In order to broaden the options for those wanting to visit indigenous communities living beside Lake Titicaca, Marisol Mosquera of Aracari has recently visited the village of Luquina Chico, a small and rarely visited rural population living on the tip of the Chucuito peninsula.

After being announced on Conde Nast’s list of the World’s Top Travel Specialists in both 2009 and 2010, Aracari is delighted to say that the accolades continue. Founder and President Marisol Mosquera has now been included on
Travel + Leisure’s 2010 A-List.

Heading towards the end of the summer “high season”, and there are still a healthy stream of testimonials arriving in the Aracari office. In particular, our highly personalized greeting and transfer service came under the spotlight over the last month.

Following last month’s review of El Mapi in Aguas Calientes, Aracari is continuing its critique of the most sought after luxury hotels in Peru with a review of Rio Sagrado in the Sacred Valley.
