The Palacio de Sal was the first hotel to be constructed completely out of salt in the world. Located 25 km (15.5 miles) outside of the city of Uyuni, the 16-room hotel overlooks the stunning salt flats.

The hotel is built out of salt bricks and also features salt furniture, taking inspiration from the surroundings of the Salar de Uyuni salt flats. The rooms are highly original, some of which are designed to look like igloos, but with all the comforts you’d expect from a hotel of this category. All rooms have private bathrooms, hot water and central or electric heating.

Guests can enjoy local cuisine prepared in the restaurant, enjoy the views from the terrace, relax at the spa which includes a dry sauna and steam room, a salt water pool and whirlpool baths.

Palacio de Sal is situated in the perfect location to begin your exploration of the Uyuni salt flats with Aracari.
