Our Dream Peruvian Honeymoon

After going through many travel agencies who tried to offer cookie cutter trips for our honeymoon to Peru, we came across Aracari. From the start, the team was so responsive and accommodating of our interests. We felt taken care of by the wonderful and friendly guides during every step of the trip, from the minute we were picked up at the Lima airport by the greeter Julio and driver, Guillermo. On our first offical day, Daniella gave us an engaging food market tour in Lima during which we got to try many local fruits and dishes and learned a lot about Peruvian culture. A highlight of the market tour was going to the coffee shop, Terua. My husband is a huge coffee buff and the owner, Daniel, is so knowledgeable and passionate about brewing coffee, it was a perfect match for us. In the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco, we had the great pleasure of having Juan as our guide. Juan is so passionate about Inka history and culture that school teachers were asking him to explain some of the sites we visited to school children on a field trip. Juan also so kind and helpful to us.
The hotels we stayed in on the trip were all unique and they made sure to give us special treats like chocolates and wine to celebrate our honeymoon. We especially loved the first boutique hotel in the Barranco neighborhood of Lima: it was an old house converted into a hotel that had only 2 rooms. The staff at the hotel were so kind and the breakfast was incredible, with homemade breads and local fruits. I have already recommended Aracari to friends who have asked about our trip and would definitely use them again!
