MARKETING EXECUTIVE

More information: Based in Lima, Peru. Competitive compensation based on qualifications and prior experience. Mon-Fri full-time role. Native English speaker required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • E-Newsletters:
    Produce the monthly b2c Newsletter and b2b Agency newsletters using Mail Chimp
    Design and create ad hoc mailshots: promotions, press releases, internal marketing etc.
  • Content Marketing & Content Creation:
    Write and edit blog content, following SEO strategy
    Create/re-purpose content for other trade platforms including TravellerMade, ATTA
    Write engaging copy for Tourplan itinerary text and the Website
    Assist with the creation of digital and physical marketing materials
  • Website:
    Content management: Keep text and photos up-to-date on the website, including adding new testimonials, press coverage, and revising product details and descriptions
    Improve SEO
  • PR:
    Manage the photo library and provide photos to Press
    Track and monitor press coverage and keep the press database up-to-date
    Support the Head of Marketing with press trips (e.g. trip planning)
    Research for press releases and press requests
  • Social Media:
    Create and curate high quality written and visual content on a range of platforms: Tripadvisor, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn
    Actively seek new online channels to broaden the exposure and reach of Aracari
    Become an advocate for Aracari in Social Media spaces
    Assist the Head of Marketing in measuring social media efforts using their analytics tools
  • Other:
    Assist the Head of Marketing with managing data & reporting on the CRM
    Additional tasks as required according to the needs of the department

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
– Completed studies in Tourism, Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Liberal Arts or related field.
– Bachelor’s degree

Experience and Skills
– Native English essential
– A skilled wordsmith who enjoys writing
– Previous marketing / PR / communications experience
– Destination knowledge and travel experience in Peru (Bolivia & Galapagos an advantage)
– Strong work ethic and drive
– Previous experience with Mailchimp (or similar) and competency with Photoshop and Indesign a strong advantage

TRAVEL PLANNER / SALES CONSULTANT

More Information: Based in Lima, Peru. Compensation based on qualifications, prior experience and performance, preferably with a mainly commission-based structure.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, sell and implement authentic, tailor-made itineraries covering Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador to direct and agency clients from across the world.
  • Use of travel planning software to generate proposals and quotations.
  • Booking services and coordinating with suppliers to ensure services are perfectly well organized.
  • Manage all the client’s travel requirements and act as the point of contact for clients travelling on the ground.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

– Completed studies in Tourism and Marketing, Business and Sales Administration, Liberal Arts or related field.
– Bachelor’s degree
– University title preferred (applicable to Peruvian candidates)

Experience and Skills

– Fluent English (native an advantage) and Spanish, written and verbal
– Previous work experience in the Tourism Sector of no less than 2 years
– Previous sales and Customer Service experience of no less than 2 years
– Destination knowledge and travel experience in Peru (essential), Bolivia and the Galapagos (an advantage)
– Previous experience using TourPlan (an advantage – training will be provided)
– Proven understanding of the high-end travel market
– Passion for travel, culture, history, art, cuisine, nature, etc.
– Excellent communication skills
– Strong work ethic and drive with the ability to work under pressure
– Dynamism and Creativity
– Computer literate with competent numeracy skills
