Available Positions

JOB TITLE: Marketing Executive 
REPORTS TO: Head of Marketing and Product Development
LOCATION: Lima, Peru
START DATE: END OF JULY 2017


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

  • Provide assistance with online and offline marketing activities
  • Develop Aracari’s social media presence
  • Proactively create and curate content for Aracari and 3rd party platforms
  • Manage website content
  • Support PR efforts

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

E-Newsletters
Create monthly Khipu Newsletter using Mail Chimp
Create regular Agency Newsletters
Assist with ad hoc mailshots: promotions, press releases, internal marketing etc.

Content Marketing & Content Creation
Write new blog content, following SEO strategy
Create/re-purpose content for other platforms e.g. trade associations
Create and edit copy for Tourplan and Website for new and existing products and services

Website
Content management: Keep website content up-to-date including adding new testimonials, press coverage, edit existing service details and descriptions
Improve SEO of web pages
Assist the Head of Marketing in reporting web performance using Google Analytics

PR
Proactively contribute ideas for our UK PR company and press releases
Manage the photo library and provide photos to Press and agents
Track and monitor press coverage and keep the press database up-to-date
Support the Head of Marketing with press trip efforts (e.g. trip planning / itinerary writing)
Liaise with PR company to supply information and materials as needed

Social Media
Create and curate high quality written and visual content on a range of platforms
Actively seek new online channels to broaden the exposure and reach of Aracari
Become an advocate for Aracari in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues
Monitor the internet for any positive or negative feedback, and track feedback
Assist the Head of Marketing in measuring social media efforts using their analytics tools
Additional tasks as required according to the needs of the department

Requirements for the position
– Native English – you must be a talented wordsmith who enjoys writing
– conversational Spanish
– previous marketing / PR experience
– destination knowledge of Peru / Bolivia / Galapagos or experience in the travel industry an advantage
– educated to degree level
– previous experience with Mailchimp (or similar), photoshop an advantage
