Surf’s Up! Surfing Lesson Lima

Summer is upon us here in Lima and the Aracari team has been sampling a few excursions that are ideal in Peru’s capital during the hot weather. In this spirit, Carlos recently headed down to the Costa Verde seafront to try his hand at some surfing lessons.

Christmas traditions in Peru

Christmas in Peru, as anywhere in the world, is a time of great joy and fanfare, with a host of popular tradition being the centre of celebration.

Pre-Inca ruins; native and endemic wildlife; stretching beaches of golden sand; and some quite breathtaking scenery are just some of the enticing sights that await those who travel on Peru’s northern circuit.

2011 marks a century since Hiram Bingham first came across the ruins of Machu Picchu, and events will take place across the country to celebrate the occasion.

At Aracari, we have organised a very special trip led by one of the most important writers on Inca history, John Hemming, who wrote the classic book “Conquest of the Incas”, a definitive title in its genre.

Heading towards winter and we have received lots of positive feedback over the last month. Our Travel Planners Caitlin and Cristina received particular praise for their work in organising, planning and executing great Peru itineraries.
